Vascular photobiomodulation

ILIB is a non-invasive form of vascular photobiomodulation. Red laser light is applied over the radial artery at the wrist.

The light acts at a cellular level by stimulating mitochondria and supporting the production of ATP. ATP is the energy cells need for their functions and for tissue repair and renewal.

Photobiomodulation also supports the availability of nitric oxide (NO), which contributes to vasodilation and improved microcirculation. This supports the supply of oxygen and nutrients to tissues, including the skin. It may also help reduce oxidative stress and the inflammatory response, creating more favourable conditions for tissue recovery.

How do we use it at SOY?

At SOY, ILIB is not offered as a treatment on its own. It is an add-on within selected facial and body treatments.

It may be used as additional support within treatments for sensitive or reactive skin, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and other forms of dermatitis, and anti-ageing protocols.

ILIB supports the treatment; it does not replace it. The technique is non-invasive, painless and requires no recovery time.

When is the treatment not performed?

ILIB is not performed during pregnancy or in the presence of certain medical conditions. Suitability is assessed individually beforehand.
